Drowsy driving is a major cause of road accidents and can be fatal. Therefore, it is important to develop systems that can detect drowsiness in drivers in real-time. One way to achieve this is by using computer vision techniques and machine learning algorithms. In this project, we will use Python and OpenCV to detect drowsiness in drivers based on their facial features such as eye closure, yawning, and head pose. We will train a machine learning model using a dataset of labeled images of drowsy and alert drivers, and then use this model to detect drowsiness in real-time using a webcam or a video file. By the end of this project, we will have a system that can alert drivers when they are feeling drowsy, potentially saving lives on the road.
